Skills are reusable playbooks for your agent — a prompt or workflow that works, saved so you (or your team) can run it in one click, every time. They are Ottic's real form of memory: the way your team does things, captured once.

## Why Skills

Anytime you find a prompt that produces exactly the report, audit, or output you want, save it as a Skill. It captures the structure, the data sources, and the format — so the output is consistent, not re-invented each time, and not dependent on remembering the magic wording.

## Great candidates for a Skill

* **Monthly performance report** — your exact sections, metrics, and tone
* **Technical audit checklist** — what to check and how to rank the fixes
* **Competitor teardown** — the angles and sources you always use
* **Data export & reconciliation** — the query and the format your team expects
* **Outreach or content brief** — the structure your writers expect

## Use them anywhere

Launch a Skill from the Skills page or drop it into a chat, and schedule it as a Routine for recurring work. You can also import a Skill package as a `.zip` to bring in a prebuilt playbook. Build a library once; reuse it forever.
